Photo Christmas Cards

During the Christmas season, we often think about our friends and families. We exchange gifts, call those who don't get to talk to as often as we'd like, and send and receive Christmas cards.

A favorite type of Christmas card is one that contains a photo - photo Christmas cards. Family pictures are often taken around this time of year, and including them in your Christmas cards is a fun and easy way to share them. There are several ways that you can go about it.

Instead of a traditional Christmas card design, many people are opting to use their own photos for the front of their Christmas card. This makes a unique and beautiful card design. You can cover the entire front of the card with the photo, or you can put it inside a decorative border.

Another option is to have the photo printed on the inside of the card. This is good if you have a particular graphic you would prefer to use on the front but still want the photo printed on the actual card. When choosing to print on the inside, the photo is generally smaller. If you are using raised lettering or graphics on the front of the card, keep in mind that the photo should not be printed on the opposite side of that surface.

If you would rather send a traditionally printed photo, there are ways that you can do that as well. A picture can be attached to the outside of a blank or bordered card if you want to use a regular photo but still include it in the design of the card. Glue sticks or double-sided tape will hold the photo well until the recipient decides to remove it. Or you could have your cards printed on photo paper from which the picture can be cut out and framed or put in an album.

Including photos in your Christmas cards is a fun way to send family pictures to your friends and family during the holidays. Whether you print the photo on the card itself, attach it, or simply slip it inside the card, it makes a thoughtful addition to your Christmas greetings.
