Tropical Christmas Cards
Christmas falls in the winter for a large portion of the world, so it stands to reason that many Christmas cards feature wintry themes. Smiling snowmen, ornate snowflakes, and polar animals grace the fronts of many Christmas card designs. But not everyone lives where it is cold during the holiday season.
Those who live in the tropics or other warm climates celebrate Christmas too. They don't have snowmen or traditional pine Christmas trees, but the spirit of the season is there just the same. So tropical Christmas card designs are becoming more readily available.
Tropical and beach Christmas cards are often quite creative. While there is no snow there, there's no reason that kids can't make a sand man for the holidays. Or how about a sand Christmas tree? Shells, fish, and other underwater items can be arranged to make a tropical wreath design. And traditional wreaths and other standard Christmas decorations in a tropical setting make an interesting holiday card picture.
Warm weather dwellers can send these cards to one another, but it's also fun to send them to friends and relatives who live in colder climates. There's no harm in rubbing in the fact that they are spending the holiday season freezing while you're basking in the warm sunshine. Maybe it will even encourage them to come visit during Christmastime next year.
Christmas cards with winter scenes might seem a little awkward coming from someone who lives where that type of weather is never seen. Tropical Christmas cards were designed with tropical and beach residents in mind.
